Fate/Apocrypha Saber of Red Mordred 1/7 Scale (Aquamarine) - Figure Review

Been a while since I posted a figure review but I'm back with a few thoughts and photos of Mordred from Fate/Apocrypha which is an.... anime... I think?  I'm familiar with FGO the phone game but beyond that I don't know much about the Fate series as a whole. I think it was visual novels, and then an anime, and then the phone game but like I said I don't know much about it. Anyway, what I do know is that the characters are VERY popular and I like a lot of the designs, including this really cool looking Mordred from Aquamarine.  This is a re-run of a figure that came out a few years ago and this time I wasn't about to let her pass me by again, so I did the right thing and ordered her on some points from TOM . I really like the cocky grin they gave her in this figure.  Like I said, I don't know much about the character but it seems to suit her attitude and pose. Speaking of which,  Mordred has a really cool pose in this figure. She's got one hand ove

AmiAmi - Shop Review

I was was starting to think that maybe it would be completely unnecessary to do reviews for what I think are totally gold-standard shops like Amiami or Mandarake but after spending some time on r/animefigures lately I've come to realize that there are a lot of people who just don't know where to buy figures from. I see far too many posts of people buying from weird shops and then complaining that they got stiffed with no product, bad customer service, items shipping way after release date, etc. So, it seems that yes indeed it is necessary to tell people what's what and where is good to buy anime figures. That said, if I could only buy figures from one shop for the rest of my time in this hobby that shop would without a doubt be AmiAmi. I come here every day just to see the updated items! What makes AmiAmi so special? If I had to pick one thing that makes AmiAmi the best shop for anime figures, I would have to say that it's the pre-owned figure section.

Iya na Kao Sarenagara Opantsu Misetemoraitai Hon Chitose Itou DX Ver. 1/6 Scale (Skytube) - Pre-Orders Open

Up for order now is another incredible looking figure from Skytube (a line from Alphamax, who as you might know are one of my favorite figure manufacturers since picking up this beauty ). Apparently this is a character from a series of doujinshi and anime OVA shorts that consists of girls raising their skirts and showing pantsu while making a disgusted face. This concept speaks to me in all of its weird specificity.  Available in both a standard and deluxe version (which comes with extra castoff parts) this figure looks really amazing. The level of detail on the chair she's kneeling on is really great, as are the sculpting on the folds of her maid outfit as she lifts the skirt up.  I also can't help but notice how well they've rendered the fabric on her chest, which looks strained to its absolute limit.  My favorite feature by far though, is that disgusted face. Finally, a figure that feels about me the way that I feel about myself. This figure might be a little too ove
