Ane Naru Mono Chiyo: Unnamable Bunny Ver. 1/6 Scale (Max Factory) Now Accepting Reservations

I would be somewhat remiss on this site if I didn't mention that there was yet ANOTHER Chiyo figure up for pre-order. This time, if memory serves correctly, it's based on a bonus image in one of her hentai doujin. I really like this figure, but the official shots make her bust look very balloon-like. It seems like some of her pre-paint prototype shots from the MFC listing show some better angles, so I think i'll still be getting this one. The price isn't bad on amiami , where I suspect she'll be around $150 after shipping. On TOM , her price is pretty bad, so barring some miraculous 40x TOM points I don't think there's any way in which you could score what could be considered a deal on her through that site. At best you're looknig at 30x points off of $150 after spending $24 TOM bucks, so that's a net savings of maybe $6. Not really worth it for the delay and having to pay up front if you ask me.  Max factory has a great reputation and I lo

DreamTech Azur Lane Akagi [Paradise Amaryllis] 1/8 Scale (Wave) - Figure Review

It's time for another figure review on Plastic-Love. It was beginning to feel like it had been ages since the last one , which was of an older figure I was selling to make room for some of the new stuff I have on the way for my collection for the next year. Thankfully she sold right away and is already in her new home, giving me more space in my home for stuff like this 1/8 scale figure of Akagi from Azur Lane in her swimsuit costume from the game.  I don't know much about Azur Lane other than that it is a phone game that came along to capitalize on the internet's thirst for ship girls in the wake of the highly successful Kantai Collection.  KanColle passed me by, but Azur Lane has sunk its teeth into me a little bit, in no small part due to wonderful looking characters like Akagi here.  Let's have a closer look! They've really captured the essence of Akagi's swimsuit art. The pose is different, but her expression is recreated very faith

Shining Beach Heroines Sonia -Summer Princess- 1/7 Scale (Vertex) Pre-Orders Open

With my burgeoning swimsuit figure interest being what it is I couldn't help but make a quick post about the new upcoming figure from Vertex. They teased it a few days ago on twitter, but here it is in all its glory, up for pre-order and due out in just half a year in April 2020.  Priced at a reasonable 13,000 JPY after discounts, this looks like it would be a great addition to my collection but with my current ordered figure count up above 10 and my budget a little on the tight side, I'm going to let a little time pass before I hit the pre-order button. Still, she looks great.

Jubilee - Marvel x Bishoujo 1/7 Scale (Kotobukiya) - Figure Review

In a previous review, I started with a figure I was planning on selling , but changed my mind again after doing the photographs. This time it's the same premise, except the outcome is that I'm still gonna sell her.  Either way, it was a lot of fun taking these pictures, and also I feel like I learned a few things in the process. The figure is Kotobukiya's 1/7 scale Bishoujo Jubilee.  She's part of Koto's very popular and seemingly endless catalog of licensed bishoujo figures based on popular characters drawn by Shunya Yamashita.  I'm not certain if they're still doing Marvel figures, I think they might not be for this line anymore, but in any case they did a few mutants from the Marvel universe, including Jubilee here. Shunya has chosen to draw Jubilee in a style reminiscent to what her classic appearance, just shorter . Shorter shorts. Shorter shirt. Shorter jacket. These are all good choices, in my opinion, and allow her to maintain her r

Faerie Queen Elaine (Native) Now Accepting Reservations

Native Store is now accepting reservations for the 1/5 scale figure based on art by famous illustrator and character designer Tony Taka. I've recently read a few comments online either on forums or social media suggesting that some people don't like Tony Taka's art because he's "old and boring" but I can't agree with that. Just a short while ago I received a copy of his Naked Works art book and really just loved all the illustrations in there. He has such a clean and recognizable style and his characters always have great expressions.  This figure looks like it would fit in with his Heroine collection that Kotobukiya did, but doesn't seem to bear any relation to that line other than that it's a faerie figure. I think it looks really cool and the size is definitely tempting (30cm tall!). Native always censors their castoff shots but moeyo posted some shots a of the unpainted prototype a while back that suggest some reasonable level of veri
